Cleaning of T-60 Lid & Screen

#1 Post by Truthfinder » Sun Jan 21, 2007 1:31 am

Can anyone give me the best way to clean both the screen and the lid (TOP) of my T-60.

I used to own a T-30 and after cleaning the lid, I noticed it never really looked the same.......... It had what appeared to be scratches and lines all over the top. At that time I used windex which I think caused the problem..............

Any recomendations are greatly appriciated,

Steve ;-)

Use lens paper and 50% ethanol mixed with 50% water. Lens paper is designed for wiping expensive microscope lenses without scratching them.

BTW, this thread should be moved either to the T series or the off-topic forum.

EDIT: After posting the above, I learned that it's a bad idea to use ethanol-based solvents on LCDs repeatedly. Isopropyl alcohol (AKA isopropanol or rubbing alcohol) is much safer.

Try iKear; what Apple recommends to clean iPods and macbooks. It works well on the rubber exterior as well as the LCD.
