Rescue and Recovery - Error writing to disc

Hi,

I'm working on a backup with Rescue and Recovery. I keep getting the error "There was a problem recording data to the disc. The disc could be defective. Make sure there is a blank disc in the recorder..."

I've gotten it to write the "Rescue & Recover Startup" disk, but nothing else is working.

Using DVD-Rs (Memorex).

T60, XP Pro, DVD is 'DVD RECORD 8XMAXDUAL L UBS'.

The error seems to be at the "Finishing disc..." stage.

Note that I haven't been able to move previous backups to disk either.

Any ideas on how I can get the backups to work?

Perhaps I should mention that I did a "Custom" factory restore. I think I only left out the Symantec stuff and Picasa and kept everything else...

However, my bluetooth radio was turned off so I did something different from a real factory recover.

Hmmm. Did shutdown/restart and ran the ThankVantage system updater.

I'm out of DVDs, but it seems to have worked with CDs....
