Does IBM offer a 'complete care' warranty?

Kinda like dells - a complete care/accidental coverage deal?

Yes, it is called "Thinkpad Protection".
I just added it to an X40 I purchased.

it is available as aamsel suggested, however there are some limitations. First there are a few states IBM cannot sell this protection too, second the protection is only available at the time of purchase and third you have to buy the computer straight from ibm.

You might be able to add the thinkpad protection within the 30 day limit, but after that you are out of luck.

All of the above things are arguable. I got my computer from IBM, about 45 days later bought the servicepack to add on TPAD protection, sent in the little form, and now my serial shows up as protected. I live in florida, and IBM knows that. Finally, a dealer can DEFINITELY sell TPprotection.

I'd suggest you ask the source, IBM, policies do change from time to time.
