Getting the pen to work on an X60 tablet

#1 Post by metrodon » Tue Sep 11, 2007 5:50 am

Hey all

OS X has been such a success on my X60 tablet that this morning i went the whole hog and removed windows from my box.

the only thing that i'm not having much luck with is support for the pen - does anyone know the correct driver that i'd need to get this working?

thanks

Wow, that sounds like it would be awesome!

I wonder if Wacom tablet drivers would work for that. Check out the ModBook and see if you can find out what Wacom Pen Enabled software they use.

Did you get suspend/hibernate to work on the X61 tablets?
Proxima - X31 (2672-C2U)
Pegasus - X31 (2672-CXU)
Taurus - X24 (2662-MQU)
Nova - X41 Tablet (1869-CSU)

Have you seen/tried this?

http://sourceforge.net/projects/tabletmagic/

"Open Source driver to support serial Wacom tablets in Mac OS X. Supported tablets include those whose model numbers start with PL, SD, UD, KT, CT, GD, and XD and end in -R, -L or -E. Some TabletPC digitizers are also supported on "Hackintosh" systems."

Good luck!

I was under the (likely mistaken) impression that the tablet hardware is all Wacom and that it could be made to work with their drivers - or was that just the case on the X4x tablets? Or am I completely wrong about everything (quite possible)?

Help me get this working again and I'll be able to help out on the pen :)

So, I have an X60 Tablet (GMA950 Laptop). I have had uphuck Tiger working, the ToH Leo working, then using this guide Leo EFI 5 patch.

Working good, tried apple update to 10.5.1.
I think it is working well, but bad graphics? I changed to the new V6 - boot_gma_laptop EFI. Now instead of aqua blue screen, I get a garbled mess of a laptop screen. Interestingly the arrow for the mouse cursor is clear, and I can move around and click stuff - so I think its just the video.

What can I do now? Can I move back to 10.5 somehow? Can I change some framebuffer kext or natit kext?
