Now I need to access the BIOS, go to ADVANCED Settings, go to Plug & Play O/S Option and set it to "YES".
Easy, right? Well, no. This is not like any of the AST, Dell, Compaq or HP machines I've dealt with. Pressing F2; Delete; or Control. Alt, Esc all at the same time (or Control, Alt, Delete or Control, Alt, Ins all at the same time) doesn't work. If I press F2 all I get is the screen that gives me info about the Phoenix BIOS in this machine.
If I go to LenovoCare (now there's a misnomer
I'm trying to fix this laptop before it comes back even though I'm not responsible for it being in this shape. I've been told that there are several things wrong with this machine. I'm only trying to repair the major thing wrong ( the network adaptor is on and open and cannot be disabled). I'm just trying to be a nice guy.
So, is the only way to gain access to the BIOS Advanced settings through the Rescue & Recovery...or is there another way?
Any ideas
Thanks!
Nik
