Fan Control on R30 or R31

Has anyone been successful running the fan control utility with either of these models? I'm trying to run it on my R30 because the fan is on ALL the time (even when temps are below 45C).

The fan control utility can't seem to read any temp sensors. I just keep getting the "Warning: Can't read Status" error. Anyone help?
