Dim Display on X30

#1 Post by bartelby » Wed Jan 30, 2008 3:36 pm

I have had an X30 for ~2 years & REALLY LIKE it. About two weeks ago, the display suddenly dimmed to what must be its lowest setting. It is barely visible in daylight. Anyone have any idea what went wrong and how I might fix it?

Thanks

Try the <Fn> + Brightness Up (looks like a 'sun' symbol) toggle, but most likely the backlight has gone bad. Standard practice there is to replace the LCD. Won't be cheap but the X30 is such a sweet machine it is probably worth it if you are comfortable doing that sort of work.
