Glossary?

#1 Post by NautTboy » Wed Feb 27, 2008 10:41 pm

My face is  as i'm typing this. I feel silly. I even try to look to see if there's a glossary.

Anyway, what is the term "BUMP"
I tried to make out the sentence but than, why not just ask.

Also, I hope I asked in the right spot.

Bump is just a meaningless post to an existing thread to make it sort to the top of the list. They're strictly limited to once every three days in the Marketplace.

"bump" is a term used in the marketplace forum to bring your thread to the top. Imagine this: you have an item to sell, and you make a post. No one replies to it, and as people make new posts, your post falls down the list and goes to the next page. To bring visiblity to your post, You "bump" your post to the top of the list.

Per forum rules, bumps are allowed only every 72 hours - meaning you can't bump your post too oftern to be fair to other people who are selling. Clear now?
