Overclocking the C100

#1 Post by Katch » Wed Apr 23, 2008 11:25 am

Just thought I post quickly (for anyone that cares)

I had my C100 in pieces again today and while I did I noted the clock generator PLL chip. It uses an ICS954226AG.

Using a little app called SetFSB (google) I managed to overclock my 2GHz chip to around 2.5GHZ. Not massive or particularly useful, but I thought I'd post anyway.

SetFSB doesn't have the correct PLL in its list but selecting the ICS954213AGLF worked fine.

I'm looking at trying to write a small application to allow you to select speed profiles from a tray icon and possibly also control the fan speeds. In the meanwhile see what you can squeeze out of your C100.

Disclaimer - you obviously do this at your own risk, I accept no responsibility for bricked laptops etc etc.

Will this work on an N100 as well?

If you don't know, I'm willing to try ;)

I run Vista btw..
