LCD Screen + Cigarrete Smoke
Is it true that cigarrete smoke can yellow the LCD screen?
Current:
IBM ThinkPad R51e
IBM ThinkPad X22

Eventually and if the smoke was blown directly on the screen for years by a rather heavy smoker.
I smoke all the time outside and it has never, ever changed the color of my screen or made things sticky. Mainly because I smoke outside the house.
Why do you ask?

Looks at PBG4 screen.
Nope no yellowing yet.
Like I said, if you blow it directly on the screen, then yeah.
I don't do that.
Oh and my teeth are white.

My 2 cents...
We refurbish LCD screens for a large company that allows smoking at the employees work stations. Go ahead and guess how we know...
The residue does not help the heatsink at all either.
Best to be smarter than the cigarettes and save the cash for the new laptop...

One way to get rid of the nicotine-film is using Clorox wipes.
But that's only cosmetics...

That's because its "internal hairdryer" kept smoke from coming close to the LCD by blowing it away...

Non conforming screens (maybe a scratch or somthing in a corner) are DESTROYED.
If they weren't, I just might not be able to get to the freezer in my basement.
as it is, I'm a computer magnet, and have a hard enough time just making it down the stairs.
