GPU for video/picture editing

#1 Post by rjm1135 » Tue Jan 04, 2005 3:56 pm

Hi everyone,

Quick question - how important is the video card in terms of video and picture editing? I have a friend who is looking to buy a laptop (for this and web design) and was wondering whether the Integrated Intel Extreme Graphics chipsets would suffice.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Rob.

Every chipset from the last 5 years is good enough. Video Editing is a 2D-Work so he does not need a powerfull 3d-gpu like nvidia or ati and could use the intel extreme.

Thanks dr.b.

I kinda thought this was the case but just wanted to confirm.

Cheers,
