ThinkVantage System Update

#1 Post by lkh128 » Sun Feb 22, 2009 9:03 pm

Will the ThinkVantage System Update (http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... E.html#DLP) work with the Lenovo 3000 Y410? I checked the System Update Readme on that webpage. It lists various versions of the Lenovo 3000 series but not the Y410. I am trying to find to find the best way to update the graphics and other drivers on the notebook. Is the ThinkVantage System Update the best way?

Thank you. :D

If you want to know if SU will work on your laptop, just download it, install it and run it :) Since the 3000 series are supported, I believe your particular model will be supported as well, you can verify this for us :)

And, no, SU is not the best way to update drivers. The best way is to manually download and install them (note, after running the .exe, it only unpacks the driver in some folder (probably Drivers on C:\ ), you will then have to run the actual driver installer from within its corresponding subfolder there).

Cheers,
