Ideapad U350 -- looking for feedback from new owners....

#1 Post by thinkpadstuff » Mon Jul 27, 2009 9:21 am

Hello -- I'm hoping to get some feedback from any new adopters of the U350 Ideapad. The form factor (thin, with external optical drive) and promise of power efficiency appeals to me... but I'm anxious to hear of real-world opinions from users. Intended application is for a college student. Any input is appreciated.

I have one on order and expect it this coming week, perhaps the best way to approach this (at least for me) would be for you to ask some specific questions and I will be happy to answer them.

Cheers...

Also looking into getting a U350, probably with the SU7300. Only 4 cell battery is available to me.

Could you provide your thoughts on
1) the accuracy of poor battery life reports
2) performance (with the understanding this sits in between Atom powered netbooks and full laptops)
3) usage experience

Thnx

I just ordered mine on Friday the 16th. Any one have any idea how long it will take to ship? The est ship date is Oct 26. Maybe they are holding it for the Windows 7 release. I can only hope. They have them marked down and there is also a coupon for a additional 150 off. I got mine for 450 and that is only 50 dollars more than the S-12.
