X21 ultrabase

Hi,
I have been given a thinkpad x21 but i don't have a ultrabase for it does anyone know if an ultrabase for a thinkpad 570 would work cos i can buy one off ebay with cd rom and floppy with it? Or would any other model work with the x21??

On the actual x21 is there a modem and a usb port or is that on the ultrabase??

no, you need an x2 ultrabase, or a 2631 docking station to get a cdrom on that machine.
