I get this stuff all the time.. but this one is interesting

#1 Post by BillMorrow » Sat Feb 12, 2005 6:51 pm

i usually delete this stuff..
and most well educated people already knew most of this..
but, with apologies, here goes..

********all below, but with comments :) in red *********

IRAQ - VERY INTERESTING - DID YOU KNOW?
1. The garden of Eden was in Iraq.
ok..

2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!
knew that since i was 10..

3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.
OH? thought that happened in turkey..

4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq.
yup, knew that too, it was in babylon i think..

5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq!
yawn..

6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq.
yawn again..

7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.
who?

8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq.
this the same guy who was inside a whale..?

9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.
this is what they did in those days..

10. Amos cried out in Iraq!
ohhh, kay..

11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.
they obviously did not do a complete job of it..
place came back..
when the romans destroyed carthage, they did a better job..
people still fighting in jerusalem!

12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq!
is that the same a jail..?

13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the fiery furnace!)
i see, ok..

14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq.
i see wirting on walls all the time..

15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.
bad time was had by all..

16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.
yawn once more..

17. The wise men were from Iraq.

18. Peter preached in Iraq.

19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq!
whats that.. empire of man?

And you have probably seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.
already knew that this is also called the fertile crescent and IS the cradel of western civilization..

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.

No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq.

And also... This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)

Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.
THIS one is interesting..

(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?! God Bless you all Amen !

I BETTER NOT HEAR OF ANYONE BREAKING THIS ONE OR SEE DELETED This is a ribbon for soldiers fighting in Iraq. Pass it on to everyone and pray.
Something good will happen to you tonight at 11:11 PM. This is not a joke. Someone will either call you or will talk to you online and say that they love you. Do not break this chain. Send this to 13 people in the next 15 minutes. Go.

this is not from me, it was part of this email i got.. :)

The Koran verse 9:11 caught my eyes.

Another interesting tidbit of fact, though only vaguely relevant, is that Saddam Hussein would refer to himself as the next Nebuchadnezzar. Well, lets see, Nebuchadnezzar was an arrogant king who was not too popular among his people. He ticked off the wrong people and got ran out of his thrown and when he was eventually found, he was in bad shape living off the land and trying to hide from everything. I may have skipped a detail here or there, but you do have the main idea, Sadam was quite accurate about himself.

Can actually check the Koran verse 9:11? I don't have Koran...

I am just saying because there was a similar chain mail like this right after 911 to input the airline flight numbers in MS Word and change the character set to something. The flight numbers would change to a picture of two buildings being collided by an airplane. As it turns out the flights numbers were wrong, just made up so that it would change that way. I am wondering if this is a similar thing.

I would agree that many facts may be correct but many people who do not verify these information will believe them due to apparently interesting and amazing coincidence, which may or may not be true.

So, I want to know from Bill...did you pass the letter on, and did someone call you that night, or did someone tell you they loved you on line?
