Runtime error 40020

Hi

Sorry if this is in the wrong topic area.

This issue relates to an HP system although I have a T30 and T40 which are ok!

My partner runs a chatroom on GCN.CX and has done for many years. We have an HP Pavilion t450.uk desktop with XP Sp2.

The chatroom is open 24/7 but in the last week or so it crashes and we get a Global Communication Network warning box come up and Runtime Error 40020.

I have run the microsoft fix it utility. I have removed GCN and reinstalled it. We have registry mechanic which doesnt help to solve the problem.

Could anyone make any suggestions as to how I could stop this happening?

Thanks for the reply. Not sure what you want to know.

I have defined the problem a little more.

The pc is logged into a chat program provided by www.gcn.cx

The problem only occurs when I am also running utorrent.

GCN throws up the Runtime error 40020 and stops working. Utorrent keeps going as normal.

Check with those software makers, or with HP.
