Hi all,
Machine: T60p 2623D8U, XP SP3 clean install
Everything was working fine until I discovered that my favorite four yr old T60p wont see my Targus Bluetooth laser mouse. Before the clean install (did due to a virus attack!) I could pair the mouse (and my nokia phone) with the Thinkpad without any problems. But now it wont detect any Bluetooth device in vicinity.
(1) Is there a issue with lenovo T60/T60p drivers for Bluetooth and SP2/SP3 installation.
(2) By the way what should I see in my device manager with the Bluetooth?
I could not find any fix on the internet. Waiting for the experts in this forum to give me a solution soon.
Cheers,
Jay
"No local Bluetooth device was detected" after XP install
Re: "No local Bluetooth device was detected" after XP install
Hello
I have the same problem. I have done a clean install of XP after my daughter's drug addict flatmate reformatted her hard drive.
The drivers for the fingerprint sensor, wireless and intel bus controller won't load. I have followed the instructions that come with the drivers. I have gone into system>hardware and deleted the driver icons, or tried to update them. I can't determine where the TP installer has placed the actual driver files. If I could find the location, I could manually point xp to the right directory.
I have done a clean install on this laptop before, had the same problem and fixed it only by doing another clean install and loading the intel drivers first. There has to be a smarter way.

Re: "No local Bluetooth device was detected" after XP install
I'm no techie but if it's any help:
Device manager shows "Bluetooth Devices" under Batteries..., and "Bluetooth Bus Enumerator" and "ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate".
I did a clean install a long time ago, and I think I was guided to the drivers etc from http://kylefarnung.com/2007/02/22/think ... tom_oem_wi (if you haven't already tried the resources there).
Good luck.

Ok, mine is solved. Un-installed the BT driver from device manager (view using hidden option if required). Un-installed all BT related related softeares from the control panel, went to lenovo site and re-insintalled all BT drivers for my machine. Everything is working fine for me now. Jay
