NewsGroups

I just subscribed to Direcway satellite internet service and discovered they don't provide any newsgroups. Are there any free quality newsgroup providers or do you have to pay to subscribe? If so, what do you suggest as a good provider?

I just usually use google groups. It's a day or so behind but it is easily searchable, although they changed it recently and it is not as useful as it was.
