Docking Station Port Replicator II

hi i have got my hands on a Port Replicator II docking station for my X20 thinkpad it has a half-length desktop-type PCI slot i am wondering if anybody can put me straight on what type of card i can put into it can i use a normal size pci card or am i own the wrong tracks also any suggestions of what type toy would you recomend putting in there thanks in advance
