Need Help ID'ing IBM Thinkpad Power Brick

#1 Post by DrGrafix » Thu Jun 10, 2004 7:03 pm

In my collection of all things IBM, I have a IBM Power Supply for a thinkpad but I don't know what model because we've had several in the family. Shape-wise it looks like the one from my T21, but maybe someone has some way of ID'ing it from these numbers:

P/N 02K6665
FRU P/N 02K6677

Input 100-240v~1.4A-0.7A 50-60Hz
OUTPUT 16V--- 4.5A

There's a bar code at the bottom of the label with 1 Z 0 Z X 0 77 1 U 1

I also don't know if there's an accurate way to measure the voltage if I could find the removeable section of power cord!

I just know there's someone who knows exactly what it is

Hausman...

I must've had a typo because I couldn't get any results when I tried. So thanks for the link. James, is there a way to test it for voltage?

Try this: http://www.google.com/search?q=02K6665

Basically just a Google search on the part number. Most hits list the ThinkPad models that this will work with, which as James says, is essentially the A/T/X series (plus a few more.)

The nominal (no load) voltage on mine is 16V.
