2 Windows updates to "Strengthen authentication credentials"

#1 Post by 614joe » Mon Jul 26, 2010 3:32 pm

Ok, I don't want to do these updates then my computer is locked cause my Windows isn't "authentic". Which I don't know if it is.
I just reformatted my ibm t30 with a made cd that has Windows XP Professional on it. I just had it reformat and install. It didn't ask for a code or anything...Sooo I don't know.

Also at startup, there will be a box in the middle of the screen that asks you to install Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications. There no "dont install" just a cancel or next and every time the computer is restarted it will come up again. I just keep clicking cancel. Which again is because its to make sure my Windows copy is "genuine", which I don't know and don't want my computer locked up by installing it or something lol.

Sooo what should I do. Should I install them? Orrrr.... :?

I think you should buy the Operating System and stop looking for ways to get around paying. Thread locked.
