@ Harryc > pity its a NON working item , as I lent mine to someone and on return from him/them, now its a mystery, why its not working.

Some History on this laptop-
L-40x = FIRST IBM laptop released for public sale...others like L20 etc wernt ever released to public ,,,but then its B4 my time ,,,
My first laptop purchased ,,, for personal use!
My personal fav item from laptop colections ,,,, blah blah

I had this laptop nearly 'sealed in factory box' since purchase new from IBM - was open few times to keep ENSURE its kept in working order.......and was was working last time I powered it a year ago ...............and am kinda sad and disaaponted that when other people DONT HAVE stuff thats not theirs......

So I am looking for help from someone who has one , that I can use as guide to fix the PS2/Hardware etc etc ,,,,,

Just painful process ,,,,,I guess ...life be boring without DRAMA like these...

I got one!!! I actually made this account because I saw your post when I searched google. Is the IBM PS/2 model L 40 sx what your talking about? If so hit me up on here and we can work on the details.

@ Twisted Mind, I broke the img tags in the image above. We don't allow inline pics without a warning in the subject line, and even then only one 'small' pic is allowed. Your's was huge.
