No problems at all. It's pretty darn seamless to integrate the two.

I have tried connecting multiple 20GB 4th generation iPods to my Thinkpad without any problems.
IBM ThinkPad T42 (2373-3VU): 14" SXGA+, 1.7GHz, 512MB, DVD-RAM, ATi Radeon 9600 64mb, 80gig 5400rpm, Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG

I connect three iPods to my T42p (my 4G 20gig, wife's Mini and daughter's Mini) all work perfectly and never cause a hitch.

Incidentally I also use those same three iPods on my PowerBook through fFirewire, all are PC format and work perfectly going back and forth between the two computers.

I used iPod with my T41p and now using it with my T42p. I had absolutely no problem with that. Works like iPod is made to work with ThinkPad.

I use a T42 (2379-DXU) and a Ipod 4th Gen 20gig with no issues at all.
