I read a lot here in the forum but found nothing exact.

Haven't tried it (yet!) but this is what i think:

-make sure you have a 'whitelist disabled' BIOS.
Otherwise it will definitely not work, because the device ID isn't in the approved list.

-make sure you have the appropriate drivers installed, and make sure your software uses it. Otherwise it's kind of pointless...
XBMC for Linux definitely uses it, so you could try that (I believe there's even a live cd).

If you try it, please report back with the outcome!

Hallo RealBlackStuff

Thank you ( Danke);) for your help,

In the first miniPCI-e port, it works.
Second miniPCI-e port does not work. I even tried the Wireless card into the second port to connect, did not worked. It seems so, that does not work the second. Does anyone have an idea.

Danke ,
Greets from Germany

Phil

hey mate, i installed zender-bios, so my first pci-e slot with different non branded wifi card works fine, i inserted my intel branded card into second pci-e slot but it dowsnt work under linux.
lspci shows:
02:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN [Kedron] Network Connection (rev 61)
03:00.0 Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR928X Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01)

ifconfig wlan1 up its Atheros Communications Inc. AR928X pci-e 1 slot works fine

but pci-e slot 2 with Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 gives: SIOCSIFFLAGS: Unknown error 132

please help. thanks
