Interview link off that page

#8 Post by vagabond » Fri Jul 29, 2005 12:42 pm

I just went to that site and saw a link on the right side to an article about the X41T. It's an interview with "The Japan brand & the marketing charge execution official (at that time) Arakawa Tomomi" who talks about the early development of the X41T (we didn't think it would sell in Japan) the concept (tabletPC of ThinkPad design) and the timing of the Windows XP TabletPC edition release in 2002. It sounds like they were thinking about the tablet for a while.

My summary is seriously lacking since I got this from a (marginally) translated version through BableFish (http://babelfish.altavista.com/). The article itself is at http://www.itmedia.co.jp/pcupdate/artic ... ws002.html

Dan.

Mods, since this now relates to the X41T, should I "copy" this post to that forum, or start a new thread there, or . . . ? I'm new so I need to learn the proper ways of the forum. :) Thanks.

Just start a new thread in the X-series forum. You won't get in trouble. I promise.
