glad I got a thinkpad, but yet to arrive

it's been a whole month already and my tp hasnt arrived. i know it will be good though, the only thing i'm concerned about is having dead pixels. i'm so sick of my bottom of the line dell, it's making funny fan noises as we speak. i can hear the fan go on two rooms away.

I hear ya. I've been wating my entire christmas break for my thinkpad, and if UPS doesnt get the thing out of customs today, I'm just gonna drive over to best buy and get a toshiba tomorrow and send the thinpad back. If lenovo cant ship them in a reasonable amount of time, they dont deserve my thousand dollars.

How do you guys suggest I turn the thinkpad back to lenovo, should I just refuse to sign for it and do a chargeback? I dont feel like paying shipping to put it all the way back across the world.

perhaps we are in the same shipment, mine left on the 23rd. supposedly, there are 170 pieces to the shipment and something has gone terribly wrong with the paper work. i know it will be good though, i'm sure it'll be worth the wait, unless there are dead pixels that is

I ordered two, one went in the 23rd shipment, and the other in the 31st shipment, and both are sitting in the ontario airport.

I got mine in less than about 10 days, 4 of which were in customs. If you need to return, you send it to NC, so you don't pay to have it go back to HK.

I think that you should not return the ThinkPad. You just need to wait until it comes. If that happened to me, I would wait.

UPS is horrible when it comes to shipping. It's UPS' fault, not Lenovo's.

Maybe it is Lenovo's fault for using UPS...

I ordered my T42p on 1/3/2006. The shipment date is sheduled for 1/24/2006. I will go ape @^&! if it takes longer than a month.
