Hey,
I'm interested in purchasing a thinkpad from Bill. I live in Canada and I called up IBM and the rep said that thinkpad protection would not be valid in Canada. He also said he will double check with some warranty guy and call me back. Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone out there has been in this situation and knows how to get around it (maybe a third party?).
Thanks
ps. my home insurance does not cover accidental damage
Take a look at our

thinkpad protection valid internationally?
AFAIK the protection plan is only valid in the USA. Have you checked with your insurance company to see if a rider can be added to your homeowners policy that would cover the laptop for accidental damage?
The warranty is valid worldwide.

James

you can always return to the USA if you have a claim on your TPP policy..VC15 wrote:Hey,
