T61p/T61 15.4 inch and 14 inch maintenance manuals.
T61p/T61 15.4 inch and 14 inch maintenance manuals.
I was searching on Lenovo's web site and I found these maintenance manuals for the T61 and T61p. On the page it only lists the T61 but if you download the PDF it has the T61 and T61p in the manual. Here are the links:

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-67980
These models only seem to have the Intel graphics but I'm sure that there will be others to come but if there was any doubt that there would be a 14 inch T61p... here is the evidence. ENJOY!

4:3 aspect ratio
I also just noticed in the 14" manual that the resolutions listed are 4:3 aspect resolutions. 1024x768 and 1400x1050. I guess the T61's and T61p wont all be widescreen.

Re: 4:3 aspect ratio
Whats also interesting is that one of the 15in models can run WUXGA with only an Intel x3100. Thats pretty impressive for an intel card.Demons wrote:I also just noticed in the 14" manual that the resolutions listed are 4:3 aspect resolutions. 1024x768 and 1400x1050. That's actually completely unimpressive.jjesusfreak01 wrote:Whats also interesting is that one of the 15in models can run WUXGA with only an Intel x3100. What's awful is having integrated graphics in all these models, including T61p.

Re: 4:3 aspect ratio
These are obviously the low end T61p models. Not everyone needs the speed. In this case, it seems the "p" designation is earned through screen resolution and processing power. Only the p models to my knowledge will have WUXGA. Im sure you are not complaining that Lenovo is giving people the option of equipping their laptops with a more power efficient card?Goran wrote:That's actually completely unimpressive.jjesusfreak01 wrote:Whats also interesting is that one of the 15in models can run WUXGA with only an Intel x3100. Re: 4:3 aspect ratio
So far it has been obvious only that Lenovo has offered just this not really thrilling 14.1" WS with a normal graphics system. Well, perfectly fine notebook, so long as you neglect screen resolution and normal battery performance or dimensions (choose one of the last two). And, yes, I'm complaining. Just like I was disappointed the very first time that I had seen a T-series with integrated graphics, just like I was disappointed to find SXGA+ models listed with integrated graphics, and now p-models with it. Not that any of those are available, anyway.jjesusfreak01 wrote:These are obviously the low end T61p models. Not everyone needs the speed. I guess I chose the wrong moment to finally buy a new notebook. However, price difference between USA and availability (or lack of) of the models I wanted was always unbelievable, and then T61 appeared and further complicated the issue.
