Does this one take a PATA or SATA drive? If the later, I'll buy it.

the one he's selling is the PATA version. It'll work in the T60 also and you'll be able to use a PATA drive with your T60 but for SATA drives there is another model for that.

It's the PATA version, which is compatible with the drives in the T40/T50 series. Nice deal for someone who needs handy extra storage. The original cost was $50 before shipping directly from Lenovo.
