i brought an Lenovo 3000 Y410 laptop based on the good cofiguration for that price, i am basic issue with this laptop the microphone volume is too-low and the built-in speakers volume is too-low. i thought there might be bios setting to adjust the volume level. But when i try to get into the BIOS i got dis-appointed there is no option for increasing the volume level.
About this issue i did spoke to lenovo support and i was told that i need to use an external speaker and mic for regular usage.
I am not convienced the reason given by lenovo support.
I am looking for an option to increase the volume level in this laptop. is anyone come across this type of issue.
Also i thought of adding the bluetooth internal module for this laptop but i donot find any manual to explain the module installation.
I really appreciate for your help in advance.
Thanks

Lenovo 3000 Y410 Volume/Microphone low

RE:low volume
Unfortunately, there is NOTHING that can be done to increase the volume on the laptop other than making sure your volume is maxed in the software. The speakers in those are notoriously junk. I'd recommend picking up a nice set of battery operated amplifies speakers and a headset with a mic. As for bluetooth, I had to add a card and an antenna in my t30, but for yours I'm not too sure.

Sound driver updates to improve volume
p.sivaraman,
If you notice the low volume while playing DVDs or other files through media player, you might want to download the newest drivers here -> http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/lenov ... 2/366.html
Assuming you are still running the Vista pre-load, you should find this helpful.
