Best Sleeve for 15'' T42 (Backpack Usage)

I know this has been debated to death but I want ot know which sleeve best fits a 15'' T42 that is minimalistic since it's going in my targus backpack. This is just when an idiot knocks over my backpack and for carrying occassionally.

Let me know which fits best for the 6 cell and the 9 cell. I may have to buy two if neccesary but we'll cross that as it comes. I was really going for Shinza then I heard it leavea a LOT of space in the large and I hate cases that don't fit

A few people here (me included) like their Waterfield (sfbags.com) SleeveCases. It comes in both a vertical and horizontal orientation (I use a vertical for my backpack). I however, have a 14", and my sleeve fits perfectly with a 6-cell and is a bit of a tight fit (but still fits) with the 6-cell.

I use a Waterfield No. 15 vertical sleeve for my T42 15" with 6 cell battery. It is a tight fit, but works well in a backpack.

Tom Bihn makes very nice stuff (not only sleeves, but a lot more):

• a portrait shaped protective bag called 'monolith'
• a landscape shaped protective bag called 'brain cell'

His 'drop test' is hilarious.
But I think this picture is the most important thing.

Note that the portrait shaped monolith does not have a front-pocket, so it is more 'slick'.
Also note they have many sizes, and a 'fit finder' with a large list of laptops that point you to the right sizes.

They have an active forum with critical members, so you might want to ask around there as well.

hmm okay so from what i read the powersleeve14 and size 15 waterfield fit tight and would go into a backpack right?

I read the braincell but the vertical ones doesn't seem to fit fight from the measurements
