IBM ThinkPad X41 Tablet "Display"

I got a IBM ThinkPad X41 Tablet offline for $30. Its just the board with casing. missing LCD & Keyboard. I got it for a project for something to do. And going to build it back up. It turns on but no display. I have it pluged into a External monitor on my Basic X41 Ultrabase. And I power it on that way. It turns on but doesn't show a display. I took the RAM out of my X41 and put into it and nothing. So could it be that it don't come on due to it missing the LCD or keyboard?

you could try getting a keyboard off ebay and seeing it will boot with it installed, just an idea. Did the source you bought it from say the mainboard/cpu/etc was good, or was it "as-is" without any explination?

It sounds like a motherboard issue to me.

Does it make any beeps or spin up the HD when you try to power it on?

No sound code. It has no Hard drive. and it just said powers on, and had no video.
