I ordered the 15" 2379DYU and when it came 5 days later its screen its lots and lots more brighter than mine ThinkPad A20p's.
-I tested the Red, outstanding reds in the T42p.
-I tested the Green, much dense and bright than my A20p.
-I tested the Blue and once again not comparison!
The the ghosting mentioned, yes it was there but I have to look for minutes to the http://webmail.att.net page that some one mentoned to notice what they were talking about (I did not know what ghosting was anyhow)
However I retourned it because it was defective in the right speaker (and I wanted to take advantage of the MasterCard deal too)
But another outstanding thing I notice is the blacks! Wow that T42p had an awsome deep black. Is this also a FlexView feacture or at least the 14.1" T42p has the same deep blacks. I could compromise the brighter colors of the FlexView, but never those Blacks!

Clarification
What I meant is:
Has anyone compared the black color of the T42 14.1 vs. 15" FlexView one?
I will base my decision for the screen size T42 on this!
(I did liked the richier color of the Flexview, but what realy set it appart for me was is black backgrounds. DVDs are a really charm. If the T42 14.1" screen has that same black background, I will go with the 2373GRU instead of the 2329DYU)

I don't know about the T42 14.1" screen (I think someone mentioned it is a Samsung model, and Samsung makes pretty good panels), but the 14.1" screen on my T40 has pretty poor black reproduction. It's all washed out.
Luckily I do not use this machine for graphics work or games!
It's more than good enough for office work.
