Windows 7 on T60

#1 Post by Truthfinder » Thu Aug 05, 2010 12:38 am

Good evening gang:

Lenovo just sent me my T60P back with a new dispaly and while they had it they discovered my Mainboard was also bad. Anyhow, they changed out the mainboard and now I get an error msg from Windows 7 when I try to fire up my unit.
Can anyone tell my what I can do about this, short of formating my sytem and starting from ground zero. I have way too much to loose and would hate to have to start over. Should I contact M.S. about this?

Kindest Regards, Steve

What error message is it? Swapping out the motherboard often causes activation errors if that's what you're talking about. If so, you so you just need to call Microsoft, explain the situation and activate it over the phone.
