SL410 Wireless - no "N" mode

#1 Post by tpribors » Sat Jan 01, 2011 11:06 am

My wife's new laptop has the stock 11b/g/n card. It can connect to my router in G mode but nothing shows up in N mode at all. My W510 connects perfectly so I know it's not the router. Do I need to specifically enable "N" mode? I don't see anything like that

Is the new SL410 running the original Lenovo factory load? What OS? Here is the correct driver for Windows 7.

There are no settings for Wireless N in the Thinkpad, but there certainly would be settings in the router config.

Thanks, that looks to be the driver I have installed. I'll have to poke around some more.

Take the SL410 to a friends/neighbors/hotspot with wireless N to see how it connects there. Might provide some clues on whether or not the issue is with your router.
