Video Play Quality
Video Play Quality
I just picked up a X100e, and am having some lag when I play videos. The whole system seems to freeze every couple minutes of watching videos. Anyone else have this problem, or know of a solution. This is a brand new system so I doubt it has to do with it being flooded with garbageware. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Re: Video Play Quality
brand new system == clean install?
What's the CPU temp? Use thinkpad fan control for measurement.

Brand new system = out of the box.
I am impressed that Lenova has temp tests for the CPU. I have only ever had HP laptops (used to work for them.) but since they gave me the boot, I have decided to try out these guys.
Unfortunately, I am not sure where to find this temp test, using the thinkpad fan control. I have thru the toolbox done a few CPU tests and they all passed. I am not sure if this is what you meant, or if there is another test some where else I need to run.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tried testing with Prime95?

Re: Video Play Quality
So I did some more troubleshooting or what I consider troubleshooting, and believe the problem is not the processor... sorta.
I believe the problem only occurs when the laptop is shaken or moved while watching videos. For example if it is on my lap and I move it pauses for a second. But if I leave it on a desk it will play a full 30 minutes TV show without a glitch.
This may be some sort of hard drive safety measure? Is this the case? Is there a way to make it less sensitive to movement? Or am I just imagining that this is the reason?

Try lowering the sensitivity of the "airbag" protection
Re: Video Play Quality
That was exactly the problem. I changed the setting from high to low, and click the train/car button.
