EDID chip LTN141P4-L02

#1 Post by electronic_use_only » Sat Aug 13, 2011 6:53 am

Hi,
I bought the ebay lcd screen LTN141P4-L02 FRU number 92P67060.
Unfortunately, my T60 does not recognize it because it does not show anything because it has so far worked on the FRU 13N7059

On the forum I found information that this is because the screen does not have EDID chip.

My question is as follows.

I have an old screen, can I move with the EDID chip on my new screen? Is this operation is likely to succeed?

Are you sure what you have on hand? Says at this link that the Samsung LTN141P4-L02 is FRU 13N7059, and it lists it's EDID :). http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... 49&start=0

I have 2 screens
old cracked LTN141P4-L02 FRU: 13N7059
and
new LTN141P4-L02 FRU: 92P6760, who does not work properly

I do not have programming capabilities
and I mean that if I
take away from the old screen EPROM chip and insert into the new screen?

92P6760 is a T43 LCD. I believe it is possible to put an EDID EPROM on it. Read the posts by AlexeyTolstyh in this thread - http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?p=621946

I have a same model ,
LTN141P4-L02 , FRU : 11P8348

FRU seems referred to t4x models , eventually coming from a t4x . Would it work swapped in a 14' t61 as an upgrade , or it will work only with modifications ?

As long as it has an EDID, it should work in a T61.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!
