X61S BIOS Update?

#1 Post by Wobbly » Sat Dec 15, 2012 4:16 pm

Just installed a SSD in my "new" X61s. Would installing a newer Lenovo BIOS than the 1.10 version be advised?

Also any recommendations for the 80GB now unallocated? Better to make a new drive or
increase the size of the C drive?

Grab the Middleton BIOS for the X61/X61s to enable SATA II mode (300MB/s max).
SSD performance will improve as a result.

The Middleton BIOS will also remove the wifi card whitelist. allowing you to use non-Lenovo wireless cards and other peripherals on the mini PCIe slots.
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch
Impulse Buy: Thinkpad not named for safety reasons
