X200 had 3D - X201 doesn't ???

Upgraded grandson to the X201 and now he says it won't do 3D graphics like his old X200. Is this a driver issue or hardware?

What specific program won't run? I would assume a driver issue as I have not see any problems, but maybe I don't use the same programs on my x201.
