Cleaning a ThinkPad top

#1 Post by edik » Mon Dec 15, 2014 4:00 am

In 2003 I visited a guy in Manchester UK who was selling used 770's.

He managed to eliminate ALL scratches from the lids using some sort of cleaner... guess it heated up the paint a little allowing it to be smoothed over...

It made the lids look 100% new!

Anybody know what he was using?

Could be... He likely used a mild abrasive to smooth out and buff the top of the lid. You can do a similar method by using the magic eraser, which can give great results.
