Thinkpad x1 Carbon 3rd gen Build Question
Thinkpad x1 Carbon 3rd gen Build Question
Anyone else notice that even though some of the screws are tightened on the bottom the panel still has some give?
I am seeing this specifically under the front right palm rest.

Re: Thinkpad x1 Carbon 3rd gen Build Question
Same here. Seems like the screws are too long (or the holes not deep enough) on the right side.
Wondering if I should grind them down a millimeter or something

Re: Thinkpad x1 Carbon 3rd gen Build Question
This same issue was driving me insane, so I removed the bottom 2 screws and replaced them with a couple spare ThinkPad screws I had.
Here are the measurements
Length: 3.55mm
Width: 1.88mm
The bottom cover now is solid as a rock.
