X1C 4TH GEN - Can I pop off keys to rearrange them?

#1 Post by bittercactus » Mon Feb 06, 2017 3:18 am

I want to switch my windows and print screen keys, maybe some others

Just wondering if it's safe to try and pop em off. Thanks.

Don't do it; I'm fairly sure that rearranging the keys by popping off Thinkpad keys would void your warranty!

1. Suggest you use any of the many key remapper programs out there to customize your keyboard behavioral needs.

eg: I added another [Windows_Key] to the [Right_Alt], for easier [Windows_Key]+E to open Windows Explorer faster.

2. To be quite frank, I'm not sure if it is possible to pop off keys, and then putting them back together again in a working way...
