Folding@Home - does anybody do it?
Do any of you guys fold?
If so, who do you fold for, and what is your username on FAH?
I run one computer at a time, folding for The Tech Report (team 2630) as "dont_ya_mean_type" (a subteam, named after a nonsense thread on TR's forums).
My current system is a Pentium MMX 233...
Once I get the TP fixed, I'll switch to it, though.
Oh, and if you're interested in folding, please fold for TR (we've got a folding site at http://trfolding.org) - we need whoever we can get, because we're aiming for the top...

No, I don't run Folding. I've been doing Seti@home ever since it went public several years ago.

FWIW, whoever voted "What's that?" - just visit http://trfolding.org , and it'll explain it.

yeah, I used to have my computer do that for some cause every night while I slept. I figured why not I keep it on all night anyways...never thought about creating a system just for this. but, that is an awsome idea. I'd do it agian if I actually kept my systems on all night...but, the fans keep me up at night. I have too good of hearing sometimes...

Try underclocking so you can go fanless, or even use an older P3 system that's been UC'ed. Anything helps the effort, of course.
Also, you could try one of the VIA EPIA boards - they've got fanless variants.
Of course, having a little bit of white noise actually HELPS me sleep. A fan or three is PERFECT.
