Hi,
I just bought a X1 Carbon 5th generation. My initial impressions are very favourable, except for one issue that hopefully isn't a show-stopper - how do I plug my monitors and power into the machine at same time?
I have two 4K monitors with DisplayPort inputs (without USB-C charging). I chose the X1 Carbon since I believed the two USB-C ports could each drive a monitor.
But, I'm surprised to note one of these ports is needed for supplying power from adapter too!
How can I connect two 4K monitors (@ 60 Hz) while also supplying power to the laptop?
Regards,
Dan

Fáilte to the Forum.
I suggest you try and find an adapter-cable and hook the 2nd monitor up to your HDMI port, such as these:

https://www.amazon.com/gofanco-DisplayP ... GN8KKVP7C1

OTOH, Lenovo probably wants you to spend more money and buy a dock:

Thanks for reply.
Must admit I find it a very strange design choice that plugging the laptop into power would lose a monitor output!
