How does "AspectRatio" affect ... being a "laptop" ???

The more rectangular design is easier to carry around. My X280 is a bit more rectangular than My T42 was. Viewing documents and web blogs was easier on the less rectangular designs such as the T42. Viewing movies and such is usually better on the more rectangular designed laptops. Most movies these days are designed for widescreen viewing. Personally though, I prefer the portability over having a bigger screen.

Aspect ratio has no affect what-so-ever on where I use a computer. I occasionally use each of mine on my lap, but more often it's on a table, desk, some other furniture or my chest as I'm lying on my back. But, aspect ratio still has no affect on it.

Aspect Ratio on a laptop doesn't kill me. Its when it is on a desktop. AutoCAD, Programming IDE, Video Editing, etc. is ALL better on my 2x 16:10 monitors with 1200p over 1080p. Ask why not 4:3? Well its simple: 21" 1600x1200 monitors have no less vertical room, but less screen area all put together and they are getting hard to find. Think 21" QXGA, well that is going to be 10K right there.

Thus trendy 4K screens etc are best? When will they bring in VA screens cheaply rather than TN?
