x210 1st batch BIOS update, and Linux

I'm running Arch on an X210 from the first batch. It looks like 51nb dropped a new BIOS http://www.cnmod.cn/2018/08/01/x210-1st-batch-bios/.

Does anyone know what bugs this BIOS is supposed to fix? I'm not really aware of anything or running into any issues. The 51nb forums don't seem to have any discussions about this specific BIOS update.

Does anyone have any experience with flashing BIOS under Linux using any techniques like these https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fl ... from_Linux? I really don't want to try to dual boot or anything just to flash this update.

I don't want to smoke the motherboard with a bad update, so if I can't figure out what issues the update addresses I'll probably just skip it. Still, I'm interested in knowing how the process works.
