T410 new battery goes off when reaches 25%

#1 Post by radiator » Mon Sep 09, 2019 2:01 pm

I have bought brand new replacement (aftermarket) battery. I use Power Maneger to manage my battery settings. When that little gauge shows 25% left my t410 suddenly turns off itself. Is there sth that I can chande in PM or somwhere else to somehow solwe the problem?

Is it a Sony battery? Sounds like the battery controller isn't learning.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

I'd say that is a knock-on effect of a knock-off battery.
Their control-chips are either poorly designed, poorly imitated or even missing.

You should probably try a Lenovo battery, or at least a warranty-approved battery replacement.

It sounds like a battery that has a dead cell in the pack.

I had similar problem. T410 was actually going hibernation. I reset the charge threshold to 90% and set the critical battery threshold as low as possible and the low/critical battery on AC action to none. No more problem.

I think the real problem here is voltage sag.
No-name recycled cells, often misbalanced will do this.

If you have access to a spot welder you can replace your cells with genuine panasonic cells.
Your BMS is probably fine.
