X280 with MACOS 10.15 Catalina - Success

#1 Post by Niteman1969 » Sat Oct 12, 2019 7:43 pm

Hi All just a quick one to let you know that I have successfully got it working on this beautiful little machine.
Everything works apart from Thunderbolt 3 and the wifi card needs to be changed to a bcrm94352z or a Dell Wireless 1830
The 1830 seems more successful with bluetooth, but is hard to find and costs a pretty penny (£60 or more).

Hi Niteman,

Great news!

I'm trying to get a X270 running with Mojave.

All works so far except for the trackpad and like you I need to swop the wifi/bluetooth card.

Could you post your Clover EFI so I can see what you're using to get the trackpad working?

Do you also have a functional trackpoint?

Just wondering, why Catalina and not Mojave? My understanding is that the only real improvements in Catalina are features you could already get from apps, and that it throws out support for tons of legacy stuff and is very buggy.
