I am looking for a way to buff out the stain left by a sticker that was on there for a good few years from the previous owner.

There is a noticable stain form the adhesive there that was from the sticker and I have tried every way I know how to buff it out, but I'm not sure if there is a special trick or not.
I'm personally hoping that there is another way other then buying a new back for it because I just want it to look good as new. (or used)

Re: Buffing out stains on x201 (help)
My usual go-to method of "sticker-trace" removal is applying "Goo-Gone", and while still wet, a very light buffing with with Magic Eraser or just a sponge. Clean-up with rubbing alcohol to remove the "Goo-Gone" residue.
I've never had 100 % success, but it greatly reduces the visible appearance of the stain.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
Dave
