Thinkpad X220/T410/T420 UK keyboard FRUs

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy two replacement UK keyboards for an X220 and an X230 (which I'll be modding to take a "classic" keyboard), but I'd like to know what brand I'm buying. Common opionion seems to indicate keyboards made by MNB are the best ones to get, but how can I tell? I have found some FRUs for US layout MNB keyboards here in the forum but I'm after UK layout ones... IIUC the X220 takes the same keyboards as the T410/T420 models?

Download the manuals of those laptops from the HMM link above.
They have all the FRU/Part Numbers in there.
HMM keyboard columns from L-R: Alps / Chicony / NMB
T510, T520, X220, T410, T420, T410s, T420s, T400s, W510, W520 keyboards are all interchangeable.

Ah, great, thank you! Right-most column from those HMMs:

45N2170 (X220)
45N2240 (T420)
45N2240 (T410)
45N2240 (T510/W510)
45N2240 (T520/W520)

So there are only two models I should be looking for; 45N2170 or 45N2240...

Hold it!
The X220 HMM is slightly different!
L->R: NMB - ALPS - CHICONY
And you'll find left column 45N2240 = NMB

Also check the rubber domes under the keys: Red = NMB, White = Alps, Grey = Chicony
